Very interesting visitation. I live in East Galway. I can see Croagh Padraic on a clear day and I have climbed it a few times. I sense that our host here has an intuitive connection to the landscape and the Cairns. I felt that I was partly there.

I loved your peaceful and informative videos of Carrowkeel and Carrowmore Tombs and Knocknarea. I've been to the latter two and Carrowkeel has long been on my list to visit.

Great panoramic views from the top of the mountains. I didn't know there were some entrances to the tombs. Quite a crawl in! I would be very claustrophobic! Thanks for sharing and have a great week 😀👍

I listened to a folk tale yesterday about Carrowkeel. I wouldn't be one for going into a tomb myself, but I'd wondered how they might look from the inside. Thanks for sharing.

Hello Thurston. Thanks a lot for watching and your sub.. Welcome along. 😊. Most Irish folk tales are a bit scary , I think there is a little bit of truth in some folk tales, that`s why I always tread very gently and with respect. Personally I feel drawn to these places, and always feel a since of inner peace. Thanks again. Stay safe.👍🍀

Good morning Curious Celt, happy new year! Getting away in nature on your own is a healing experience. It’s almost as if breathing becomes easier and stress slips away. I get moments of emotion during discovery myself and I believe it’s your soul mending. It’s amazing to me that you can just go enter those tombs. Dolmen in Clare comes to mind but it’s accessible to anyone, you have to go out out of your way to explore Carrowkeel. I was not expecting the singing bowl, it’s haunting chime lingered for so long, incredible. All the best…

Hello Neil, happy new year to you . What a lovely comment. I really need to spend some time at peace at a sacred site soon, to reconnect with the elements again. Life has burn`t me out somewhat recently. 😵 The cairns at Carrowkeel are very special. Long may they remain freely accessible to everyone. I imagine it gets very busy up there during the summer though. Thanks again for the Ko-Fi .☕. Stay safe.👍🍀

@@TheCuriousCelt You’re welcome, thanks for the informative videos. Listening to you talk reminds of my friend from Lisnaskea in Fermanagh. These past couple of years have brought us all down, it’s just not normal. I wish I had more of my wife’s positive outlook, she’s just a happy person, where I’ve become so angry with all the goings on. Definitely get out and reconnect with that ancient world, it’s a fascinating and peaceful as well. Take care…

Thank you for sharing this respectful video of this wonderful site. I visited in October 2019 and found it very peaceful and I get this feeling from your video. It brings back a lot of fond memories of the site and going into the tombs. It was nice to see some blue sky, it was raining when I went but it meant we had the area to ourselves.

You got a good day for it. When I was there the wind was howling! It was a relief to get inside the cairn. Like yourself I didn't fancy entering the 2nd cairn and I can't remember if I went inside the 3rd cairn. It's amazing that these tombs are still water-tight after 5000 years. I agree with the womb theory...it make total sense to me. There's a rocking stone in the Cavan Burren complex too...I just about got a bit of movement out of it. Can't wait to go back to Sligo again. Great upload!!

@@cynicalb I have heard of the Iron Age Loigis tribe in connection to the origins of the name Laois, as in the county. But other than that I don't know anything about them. There is so much history and folklore here, and I am relatively new to it all.
