Middle Fork Flathead 7/7/2022

A group of us carry a boat and some duckies 10 miles to do some backcountry whitewater rafting!
We floated the Middle Fork of the Flathead river near West Glacier, Montana. We hiked in to the Three Forks put in using the Morrison Creek Trail and then rafted 19 miles down to Bear Creek. We woke up around 6 am, drove and hour and a half to the trail head, hiked for five hours, then rafted for about 4 hours. Got home by 11 pm.
The hike was awesome but super tiring. Carrying that much weight was tough for all of us. Can't say I was in good hiking shape though. The trail was clear except for a few down trees at the end that were easy to get around. Morrison creek trail is also often used to get into Schafer Meadow.
The upper section of the Middle Fork has some awesome class IV rapids (25 mile rapids and the Spruce Park series) and a section of class III rapids (lunch creek). Super sweet and blessed to get to run it for the second time.
