There are a set of remarkable Cart-Ruts in Rajgir, known as the chariot track of Krishna, which are carved out from hard volcanic basalt. Located near 40 KM of cyclopean walls these cart ruts are an anomaly. These are thought to be the literal chariot tracks of Krishna and ‘burnt’ into the rock by the speed and power of Lord Krishna’s chariot when he entered the city of Rajgir during the epic "Mahabharata" times waging a fierce battle. There are also several unusual 'shell inscriptions', the un-deciphered characters from central and eastern India, thought to date from the 1st to the 5th Centuries AD and are engraved in the rock around the cart ruts. They are exactly the same width and dimensions of those in Malta, suggesting the same technology may have been used to create them.
