I have switched to these sticks full time. I used to carry 2 or 3 different models of sticks to gigs and sessions. I now only carry this stick. It’s versatile enough to play hotel jazz and then play the bashing country show I do the next night. It’s a great design. Hoping promark can get going again and start making sticks soon. I jumped on Carter’s sale this past week and got enough to last me until the end of the year “if I play another gig this year” but yeah. Fantastic review and great stick.

When I first saw these sticks, these looked like the Vic Firth Joey Heredia Signature Sticks that they used to make. I have yet to try Carter's sticks!

Thanks for the review (as always). I see that these are now starting to become available. They kind of remind me of the Innovation Percussion NZ-1 model? I am always looking to try new sticks and may give these a try. Thank you!

Consider trying the MJC2 by Vic Firth. (until Carter's are available) These sticks were Carter's favourite before he got his signature pair and they feel amazing! You can really see the similarity in these two different pairs. Mostly in the longer and 'flatter' tip and the amount of contact between the tip and the surface you're hitting. I can't wait to try his signature pair. Great review, man!

The MJC2 sticks are worlds apart in feel - weight, balance, bounce characteristics - and sound when playing ride cymbal.

@@jamieanderson7757 yes indeed, Carter's sticks are just on another level when it comes to everything you mention. Even the rim clicks (not shots) are so snappy. But I can definitely feel some of his inspiration coming from the MJC2 sticks.

What's your cymbal set up in this video? They sound great. Thanks
Theese the sticks look like a big version of signature sticks by Jeff Hammilton. And I think that all are a legacy of legendary sticks by Don Lamond Gretsch 8d.

These are hard to find, I’m pretty sure carter only did a small production run of the sticks which people could pre order. As of now I don’t believe promark is mass producing these. You could try contacting carter on Instagram or KZitem to see if any are left.

I can’t say they won’t but at this point they haven’t. As far as I know the only way to get them was to order direct from carter when the first batch was made. Again, I would suggest contacting him on Instagram or KZitem with a direct message. He is really good about responding.
