~3761 1194's built according to the S/N's, they built 561 of them between Jan and May 1985, the last pre-red tractors.

There is a particular type of washer for the rocker cover bolts lots of people think you can just use a copper washer but they will never seal

I usually put a little bit of silicone gasket maker on the bottom of some copper washers and I've never had trouble with them leaking.

no red 1294's either. Might have been some built late but repainted red before being sold at dealers though.

Keep us updated. I've never heard of 3cyl with any sort of engine damage.

The only ones I've had issues in the past were ones that sat for a while.

@@97timboi27 I've had several with rust in the cylinders and rust pits on valve seats. I've had broken ring lands and broken rings in a couple. Had a cracked rod bearing in one. Mostly issues from time, moisture, and lacl of care.

It almost looks like the side of the lifter is broken off. No idea if that is just due to the camera angle

That's what I thought at first too but I think it was the lighting making it look that way.

Push rod

Is the original push rod hollow? If yes that's for oiling i think. So one without that might wear out quickly and cause other damage
