Hi Fred, I have a question about the linear actuator shown in the picture. I would appreciate it if you can say what the size it is and where can I order one. Your modifications are great. AL

Was the original engine under powered? I'm considering swapping in a Predator 15.8 hp and not sure if I should just go up to the bigger engine.

List of Modifications 1. Predator 670cc engine ( no drilling !! ) 2. Rotated left side drive pump ( hose connections now accessible) 3. Relocated hydraulic pump to center of engine mounting frame ( exhaust pipe ) 4. New Drive pump control arm brackets 5. 12 vdc Linear actuator replaced spring arrangement for drive pumps 6. Relocated throttle, ignition switch to front right side of cage 7. Threaded metal plate replaced 2 bolts on spring of control arms 8. Removed panel that held seat, throttle and gauges and ignition switch 9. Installed kill switch on right side control handle ( prior to figuring out why it jumped ) 10.Relocated Predator exhaust system These modification were made primarily to improve performance. However many modifications were made to improve accessibility to hydraulic lines. Inaccessible hydraulic hoses I believe caused owners to allow them to leak forever because the lines were so inaccessible and time consuming to replace.

Hi Which modifications are you looking into?..as you can see my list is pretty long... The machine has a good frame but some quirks and shortcuts in the operation..(e.g. method of turning drive pumps. 1. Electric clutch 2. Physically moving drive pumps to engage belts Machine is definitely underpowered with original engine.

@@kr2bldr Predator engine worked out pretty good. Mounting bolts exact match with 670cc engine. 1. Engine shaft diameter was different than original engine. Changes pulleys 2. Right side Exhaust port was too close to hydraulic pump caused me to relocate it. 3. I had already redone the drive pump engagement system (electric linear actuator ) so relocating hydraulic pump was not a problem for me..

Excellent work Fred. Great idea to rotate the left drive pump to make the hoses more accessible. We replaced a wheel drive pump early this year and those hoses were a pain in the neck.

Hi Fred. Thanks for your videos. Are you willing to talk about 1816's over the phone? I have one and would like to pick your brain on a couple things.

Hi Fred. at 0:43 right in the middle there. Those two rods going through the bucket tilt. My plunger on the right there when pushing the hand lever too far will cause that plunger to stay in and its not noticeable until you try to use the other lever and realize its stuck in. Gets annoying.

Hi Jeff I have seen your videos keep them up!! One of the valves has a float feature on it, pushing it a little further than its normal travel engages the float feature. I believe that's what you are describing. I thought the same thing until I read into the manual a little.
