You may want to review some of my comments in Episode 32. Setting the input shaft preload is tricky, especially if using a gasket. Need a fair bit if you expect it to stop spinning when you clutch. Don't be surprised if you have to revisit it in the future. I find the preload loosens up when hot.

I have collected 3 of the CASE 310 crawlers. Each will need transmission work. Can you send out a list of the parts you have reproduced? Love your videos! BTW you are a natural mechanic if you have never had any “training” Thanks for helping all us CASE fanatics.

You can if you remove the shifter body. My email is wildcatwilly92@gmail.com

I can understand your reasoning wanting to, initially, replace all the gears. It's a horrendous amount of work just getting to the stage of that gearbox up on the bench. I've the same yr. & model, hoping mines just a shift fork issue. Best, john

I believe all those resellers get their gears, final drive stuff, etc. from Reliable Aftermarket Parts. Fully 50% of all parts I've got from them are incorrectly machined but it's pretty much the only game in town. You have to doulble-check everything & expect to return/exchange half. I really don't know who they're using for "machinists"...framers? (no, I didn't mean farmers)

@@wildcatwilly BT does produce their own rocker arm shafts for the 188D that are quite satisfactory!

They do indeed! Bought a pair to go with the new rockers. Had it been RAP, I would have had second thoughts. Pretty sure my rebuilder did a nice job of reaming/fitting too.
