@simtrachope You must be joking. Here in Sweden we have lots of Lexions and they are the most reliable machines on the fields. No other brand beats them in terms of capacity and reliability.

What if this red rocket were to gulp down something a little bigger than a 25 foot swath. it'll be a whole lot different story. I know one thing it wont be called a red rocket anymore, wonder how much that cat put in the hopper, if anything at all.

I run a 9600 John Deere in 30' wheat, canola, and barley swaths (don't straight cut) and iit is perfect for my amount of acres (1400). If I had the money and more acres I'd consider the 9120/9230 CIH and I like my Green, but I'm also a realist. If I could I'd convert to Red. I'm told in 30' swaths of 60 bushel wheat they can do 10 mile an hour. Is this true?

we are running JD 9860 premiums, we have 36 foot swaths and 36drapers. and if we could go 40 feet we would. why people run those big machines with small swaths, i dont understand. that 9120, Id put it against a 9760 sts and or a bigger cat combine. thats peanuts what these guys are doing with that machine here in this clip. I know the guys personally and they bleed cat. they hate everything else. i dont hate everything else. i will compare and try new stuff. and but whats bettter .

All the hardcore red and green guys need to take a step back and look at the physics of how a combine works and compare. Multiple threshing processes and enormous cleaning area, plus low mechanical friction - in one machine. Has Lexion had some problems, of course they have, all combines do. Claas and most of their dealers address problems quickly and aggressively. There has to be some reason all the Guiness WBOR combining records are held by Claas. BTW, who really cares? I run an old IH 815.
