Just recently I was speaking with a great client of mine who shared a story that really resonated with me.
I want to dive right into the part that hit home the most…
At 52, BJ found himself in a challenging situation.
As an executive vice president leading an organization, he knew he needed to be at his best.
But after years of putting his health on the back burner…his confidence and energy levels were at an all-time low.
Ya see, BJ loved his life, but somewhere along the way, he stopped prioritizing his health.
He relied on caffeine to get through the morning, and after grabbing something fast and unhealthy for lunch, he'd battle overwhelming sleepiness at his desk.
Every time he looked in the mirror, he didn't feel good about his reflection.
Already weighing 240 pounds, he knew that if he didn't make a change soon, he'd be 260 next year.
The problem was where to start, how to start, and who to ask for help.
It all came to a head after a doctor's visit.
BJ's blood pressure was at its highest ever, and he could feel it.
Enough was enough.
He wanted to walk down the fairway of life, not be pushed in a wheelchair.
So, that’s when he reached out to me and we put together a program that would fit within his busy lifestyle and would give him the ability to lose the unwanted extra weight (and keep it off) and regain that “unstoppable all-day” energy that would allow him to go nonstop for hours…
…all without having to starve himself to death, go to the gym or take over his entire life in the process.
When he started, he thought it would be some kind of “beast-mode” Spartan program.
No eating, hiding from friends, and a completely uprooted schedule.
But guess what? He lived life, got results, and had a blast in the process.
BJ dropped 21 pounds in 11 weeks.
His energy levels soared, and he no longer needed pots of coffee to get through the day.
And he did it all without drastically changing his lifestyle.
The best part?
When he went in for a physical, his resting heartbeat was down in the 40s.
The doctor said, "Hey, that's probably a little low. And since you've lost the weight, we're probably gonna have to either adjust or get you off the blood pressure meds."
Pretty awesome, right?
When BJ stopped viewing getting his health in order as work, he retrained his brain.
That's the power of a mindset shift.
I don't know about you, but most guys don't wake up one day and say, "Hey, I wanna change my mindset." That's definitely not how it happened for me. And BJ had no idea the six inches of real estate between our ears had anything to do with results.
It's not about trudging through a routine you dread. It's about building healthy habits and following a routine that FITS you and your busy lifestyle…
But don't just take my word for it-check out BJ's whole story in the video below.
In your corner,
Logan
