The story line is exactly the way my parents lived all their lives! My father was a master plumber who at times had very insecure income due to economy collapses in the 1970`s. Later for a few years he took on an inspectors job for greater security but was very unhappy doing so.Later he asked my mother if he could resign & go back to working with the tools. She said yes I will write the letter of resignation. For the 1st time in my fathers life he was happy as self employed master plumber who could create new or repair any type of water/ gas plumbing system. Due to my parents hard work this high functioning Autistic man has a decent life. Miss you mom & dad!

I used to watch this when I was four or five years old. I'm 64 now. Imagine going from Casey Jones to skipper of the Minnow in 10 years or so. Where's Gilligan on this show?

The Skipper brave and sure I liked Wally's line " we cooked the food on the way". That's one run where they didn't have to worry about sparks setting something afire.

Note the girdle. The pain actresses had to go through in those days to give 'that look'.
