How do you get a signal on the screen ? do you use a converter box as we dont have analogue signal anymore ??

I can't believe that works - I've never seen a TV-500 that wasn't dead due to bad capacitors.

Just curious, how does the TV behave with bad capacitors? Light up, but tunes forever? I got one that doesn't stop. I've broadcasted to every channel from 2-13, and the needle just keeps tuning.

@@KungFuMojo Mine just tuned forever when it was brand new in the 80's from what I remember!! Been in a drawer ever since.

We don’t have analogue channels in the UK, you need a digital to analogue convertor to make it work.

Hi from Australia ( Tasmania ). I had a couple of these little televisions sets in the early 80's. Great to show off to your mates. The biggest problem was that these television was they loved to 'chew' through the batteries and the only way was to run from a plug pack. Great little sets in the day.
