I'm saving up my money to also get into metal casting and buy a forge. What is the best metal to start casting with for beginners? I've already started hoarding metal and taking apart tv's and other modern products that were set next to the apt dumpster to harvest the metal inside. : ) What other channels would be good to watch to learn more about metal casting? Thanks : )

Wow, I guess my comment yesterday was telepathic (drooling)? That was phenomenal. Seriously, that was so dang great. Now I've got a craving for Kit Kat bars. Not just one or two, but a giant, mega monstrosity of a bag. The only thing that comes to mind would be a Mr. Goodbar, my second fav choco bar. Or maybe a Toblerone bar? Guess you can tell I've been home far too long without chocolate. Awesome pour and thanks for sharing. 👍👍👍

I need your help... I have a devil forge here, the smallest one they got. It takes a little while to melt copper, around 15 minutes. I stripped a bunch of electrical cords and a long extension cord to get a ton of wire to melt. As we put it in the crucible and turned it on, we noticed that it was taking over 20 minutes and it still wasn’t melted. It finally started to melt and there was only 9 ounces of copper that was pourable. The rest of the stuff that was left in the crucible stuck to the bottom and was mostly black with specks of copper here and there. Was some of the wire maybe not copper? We are clueless.
