Casting Orbeez (or Orbees, Orbeesz, Orbeezs, Orbies or even Orbiez) with aluminium (or even aluminum for the Seppos) that I acquired by melting aluminium cans in my furnace
I think it turned out great, the sculptures are pretty cool to look at, I wonder if they could be made safe to put in a fish tank?
Initially, I try to melt down the slag from previous can melts and then separate the aluminium by adding borax as a flux. This didn't go particularly well (and got cut from the video)
The furnace is off eBay, sort by new, bought the cheapest one that had two burners, this is my first time trying this. I would love very much to get a better furnace however, cannot justify it right now.
Future video ideas include:
Lost wax casting in plaster/sand
Lost PLA casting in plaster/sand (if I can get my 3D Printer running again)
Casting an ant hill
