Another great production Chris. Truckle Villa must have been amazing to see in its prime. Great tour of the village. Love the church. And your discovery of the castle. And as always. Very very nice piloting mate. Stunning footage. Great use of the 3 d modelling too. So much effort for us all to see. Great job 👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻🚶🏻♂️🚶♀️

Thanks mate. Yes, loads going on in this one. Glad you enjoyed it mate. I had a lot of fun making the 3D model of the castle ... and did have a giggle adding the dramatic music 😁 As always, thanks for the support mate. Take care, cheers! 😉👍

Wow. wow. wow. this totally didn't disappoint. How stunning castle combe village is. Loved seeing the waterfalls, the roman villa and wow, that great sequoia tree, how beautiful and grand. Incredible about the motte and bailey castle unearthed and dating back to the iron age. just INCREDIBLE. thank you for another fascinating, beautiful and interesting video! This is what documentaries are all about! 💕🙌

Thank you very much! That is great to hear, and your comment means a lot! Castle Combe is an amazing place, I learnt so much here - and most of it came as a surprise to me. It's funny that most folk think about the race circuit when you mention Castle Combe ... but it has SO much more to offer. Thanks for watching and your support as always 👏😉👍

Great documentary. We only live around 20 minutes away from Castle Coombe & we knew about the Roman Hill fort but haven't visited it because as you pointed out that its on private land which is a shame but we didn't know where the castle stood. Its amazing that there is still some remains to see. Your 3d graphics & presentation was spot on. Very enjoyable film. 👍👍🙂🙂

Thanks Martin. Yes, Castle Combe is an aladin's cave when it comes to history. I visited the place 6 times when making this film. And I will definitely be visiting again. The odd thing is that I didn't even realise that there was a castle there either, until I started digging deeper into the research. The site is quite easy to get to, if you don't mind a bit of rambling up hill. Glad you enjoyed the 3D graphics, I do always like to visualise how things may have looked back in the day. Thanks again for stopping by 😉👍

I love all of the different areas that you show in this video, especially loved when you said that it wasn't a Lamourne film without some mud lol. You do such an amazing job, and I love these long form videos that you make! Keep up the great work!

Cheers Jason! Kind of you to say mate. This is a stunning village, it was a pleasure making it. But yes, trust me to find mud 🤣 Good feedback about the long video too, I was worried prior to posting that folk wouldn't like it that long. Cheers mate, stay safe and thanks for your support as always 😉👍

What a beautiful part of England. You have really done justice to the village and the castle. Editing between the drone and the hand held was superb. When you found the remains of the tower I immediately thought of which cottages and walls were built from the robbed stone. Getting it down the hill would have been easier than getting it up there. Well done Chris. p.s. I wasn't going to mention the mud ...... but feel it has to be done.

Thank you, Clive! Yes, definitely one the most beautiful places that I've visited. Great to hear the feedback, always a relief 😉 Ref the tower, exactly! The first thing to go when they decided on the Manor House was the tower! And as you say, all down hill from there. Tis a shame, but that's all too common in these old buildings sadly. Thanks for your support as always, mate. It is appreciated 🙏😉👍

Glad you enjoyed it! I didn't think there'd be as much to Castle Combe, but as I started researching, I found more and more. I was hooked. Such a fascinating place, with so much history, much of which - especially the castle is overlooked. I did feel a little naughty scrambling through the woods trying to find the castle 😂 No harm done though and it was well worth the effort 👍

This was another fantastic one, Chris! Loved seeing the Sequoia, btw. I wonder if you could have split this into two for people who can't commit to a half hour. I wonder what your analytics will say. I was thrilled to see that it was a long one and watched every second!

I only went there for the Manor House and Sequia 🤣 But then saw how much was on offer, and the deeper I dug ... the more I found. I was watching the time creep up towards the end of the edit, and did trim quite a bit. By that time, it would been quite disruptive to split it. I'm not getting many views/likes anyhow, so for me, it's pleasure enough making them. Thanks Christian 😉👍
