The Boss Rush in Dawn of Sorrow is about ten to twelve times harder than the Boss Rush in Aria of Sorrow; this kicked my ass like nobody's business, and I haven't even gotten to the Julius Mode characters yet.
Anyway - as is often the case in Dawn of Sorrow, the trick is just having the right tools for the job. I use the Abaddon soul for most of the Rush, swapping to Ukoback for Paranoia to get a 1-phase and skip the mirrors, and then to Malachi on Abaddon to counter his bugs. Nothing else particularly noteworthy strategy-wise, the game just needs to make sense for five minutes.
This took me about 50 attempts, and although I don't remember exactly I'm sure a lot of my deaths were to Zephyr and Paranoia (before I got the 1-phase strat) and of course Abaddon. Would this all have been easier with the Valmanway? Probably, yes. But at this point in my time with Dawn of Sorrow I'd made an ironclad pact to never farm another soul for as long as I lived, so going back and getting the Valmanway would violate that.
Done on emulator, DeSmuME.
