This vet is incredibly skilled, articulate and dedicated to giving the best care for these animals. I hope she’ll go on to be a professor after retirement (many, many years from now:). and teach all the students how to be a great vet! Nice job, Doc! :)

I miss Kory already. But, life goes on and the animals are still in very good hands. I enjoy these educational types of videos. Thank you, Horse Plus Vets.

The older equines are, the longer the anaesthetic dissipation time. Older equines just don’t metabolise as quickly as youngsters.

After watching this , the idea that anyone in Tennessee can castrate animals is even more appalling. I’m glad HPHS is trying to get the law changed.

I understand their reasoning, but I think it is cruel to geld an older animal.

It looked so dark in a few places, would having small portable lights be of any help, or was it just dark due to filming?

I have a morbid question but I am so very curious- What happens to all the animals who needed the last act of kindness? I know it's part of the process of the full circle and while it is morbid to ask I wonder if others are curious to know the end process. My guess is you have them cremated as best option but unsure what your process is

Technically they are still intact so if the meds are not given you get your stallion/ Jack back and that is not their policy.

Question? My dog ( malinoise/ boxador) when he was little up until about 7 months ago ( he's 2 now) had no " berries) all the sudden, both dropped overnight, , ( big ones) is this a common thing? ( Though I thought he might be cryptorchid? ( So I didn't get him neutered,)About what should be the average price to neuter him? He's about 65 maybe 70 lbs but no more than 70. ( I'm in fla) Vet wants to charge 400.00 is that a reasonable price? Sorry for the odd question. Thank you

Dogs can sometimes drop later, just like horses. Price is dependent on location and the drugs used.
