In Japan, the practice of over-pouring sake is a gesture of generosity and hospitality. In appreciation for a customer's patronage, an establishment will provide a little extra of the beverage. They don't charge for the overrun portion.

I get so jealous when I see you enjoy real wasabi. Unfortunately, here in the Midwest, they serve horseradish mixed with green food coloring. It has a similar effect however it's just not the same. There are some high-end places in bigger cities near me where you can purchase real wasabi with your meal but it's like 20 bucks extra for the size that the restaurant gave you with your sushi platter. We have different Caesar salads in the US too. Chicken Caesar is a popular one, as is a Caesar Steak salad. The chicken is served with cold, broiled chicken breast and the steak is usually served hot over the cold salad w/the cheese on top so it melts. But a traditional Caesar is just lettuce, croutons, parmigiana and the original Caesar dressing - made with anchovy, oil, vinegar, egg yolk, mustard, salt & pepper. They are all good!!!! While in Japan I’d love to try that seafood Caesar tho, it looked incredible. ✌🏻💕😊 I’ve added this restaurant to my bucket list. Thanks Eric!!!
