I'm confused...why trap it if you're just going to let it go? Why not have it spayed or neutered first? Just curious. Not sure what's happening here.

Tru-Catch Traps sometimes when trapping a cat it gets injured in the trap while trying to find a way out. Usually their face or nose gets hurt because they try to bang the door with their head to try and push the door open. Any way to help reduce this . I cover the trap immediately when trapped, but sometimes they still get injured from the fright.

@@Trucatchtraps I would love to see a quick demonstration video showing how easy it is to transfer the cat from your live trap into a carrier, for transport to rescue or the vet. (Showing how the cat basically does the "transfer" by itself, escaping the trap but entering the carrier.) It would be really useful to see this demonstrated with a wire cage-type carrier, plastic crate-type carrier, and your own Feral Cat Recovery Carrier. Thank you.

If you neuter them and then let them go, they STILL KILL. I neuter them by shooting them. It saves a lot of wildlife.

Mucha gente no sabe pero los gatos son un grave problema para nuestros ecosistemas ya que son depredadores de otros animales que son necesarios en su hábitat natural, como son: aves, pequeños mamíferos, reptiles e insectos. Debemos hacer conciencia y no salvar a gatos callejeros. Many people do not know but cats are a serious problem for our ecosystems since they are predators of other animals that are necessary in their natural habitat, such as: birds, small mammals, reptiles and insects. We must raise awareness and not save stray cats. Something very important is to know that cats in most countries are considered an invasive species; In other words, they are not native to those places, but rather that they have been introduced by man. Remember that the balance in nature has taken millions of years to create.

Kinda wish you show when you clip the tru-catch because I read in review that cats can escape unless clipped so once you trap a cat in tru-catch trap, you supposed to be showing where you clip it because I am not sure how to do it.

Catch them stealing your cat, follow them to where they keep it , break in and rescue your cat, release all the trapped ones and burn the place to the ground, that would fix ithe problem

Catch all the cats that are not on a lead and shoot them. That will save all our wildlife, which is a bloody sight more important than those bloody cats. I just shot one. It was a good feeling to save all that wildlife.

We shoot on a daily basis cats in Germany. I'm a local Hunter, and boy when you could see all the flyers hanging around in our neighborhood, searching for their already deceased cats, you could tape the great Wall in china with it. Hehehe

What on earth is going on here? You trap a cat and let it go? Are you insane? You kill the cat. That is cat trapping 101, You KILL the cat.

@@DanDaFreakinMan If you release the cat it will spend (up to) the next 20 years killing native wildlife. At a rough calculation that equals 150,000 dead birds, reptiles and endangered mammals. Of course you kill the cat. It would be utter insanity to let it continue it's murderous rampage.

I live in Sunbury Pennsylvania. and we have some very dishonest cat trappers (TNRS) here, they steal everyones pets, they dont release the cats back to where they trapped them ,and they rehome peoples pets, and even kill them,, ,they even take cats that have tipped ears and collars,,,this cat trapping needs to be made illegal,,,,just leave the cats alone !!!!

There is a simple solution to that, keep the cats inside. The two cats in my life are inside cats and they couldn't be happier or safer. There's a lot worse than dishonest cat trappers out there waiting for a chance at your cats. Coyotes, cars, racoons, dogs toxic chemicals and human predators can all create a nightmarish end for your cat.

@@Seanz069 I think it because it's true. I can leave the front door wide open all day long and they show absolutely ZERO interest in going outside. They will sit at the door and watch but they don't want to go out. They are happy and healthy. Whenever we do take them outside because we have to go somewhere with them they whine and cry and pant and lick their lips until they are back inside again. Their territory is their home and they are perfectly content and happy there. You know ABSOLUTELY nothing about their situation so your assurance is about as valid as the promise of a politician.

Don't be stupid. Government statistics are that a cat lives an average of 18 years and will kill between 8 and 19 native creatures a night (they are night-time killers). If you let your cat out at night, I or someone like me will trap it and shoot it. Or drown it. So keep them in at night. I like our native birds better than a bloody cat. I just shot one. It made me feel good to think how many wild creatures I had saved.

@emmanuelventura4252

The only reason anyone should be using these traps is to take a feral (wild) cat to a place to get it spade or neutered. For example the new home i moved to last year has about 5 feral cats roaming around looking for food. Those 5 cats have now turned into about 8. That means they are breeding! So i have partnered with an organization to use these traps to trap them and take them to get fixed. That way i can return them back to the neighborhood. They can continue to eat rats and birds and what not and live happy lives outside (since this is all they know and cannot be socialized or adopted out) but now they will be fixed and not breed and add to the problem of feral cats.
