@@KatieDeGo it's not a responsibility, but it would be wise to protect what they have. Unfortunately in the world we live in justice is too slow to stop the ecological threats. Also this, as is with many of the worst invasive species around the world, was caused by the elites of the rich empires. There's no way they will ever face the consequences.

imo the perspectives of some of the pics were way sus. like in one he looked like he was less than 2m from it shooting down which contradicts his story edit; that being said I think the actual stories from locals are the biggest clue to their recent existence

The only "suspect" part is he didnt know who forest was after claiming "im the turtle guy" and people who are fans of turtles should know forest disovered on of 3 giant softshell turtles and the only ferdandina island giant tortoise but also maybe he doesnt actually know a lot about turtles

I feel you I lived in the UP for two years on lake Superior. Salmon, walleye, pike, muskie, perch it was incredible. Here is south Carolina Its just not the same 😢

@@DFTNSHEXGRM Some of the photos are absolutely ridiculous, with unrealistic gaping jaws that suggest a massive underbite in one photo, and a weird jaw curve in the other that doesn't match the previous. plus, the claim is it was taken with an iPhone 11, but examination of the EXIF data on the pics match to older cameras found in the iPhone 6. So either they're lying about their phone, or they used an older phone with a lower quality camera to give it a lower image quality to enhance the "mystery". I'd love this to be true but it's just not man.

Huge fan Forrest! Love what you’re doing, living in Wisconsin my wildlife variety isn’t as “exotic” as most the places you visit. However, today while I was landscaping out at Turtle Creek I saw a bald eagle swoop down and back up with a fairly large water snake of some kind! Very cool stuff

I love these type of dive videos! I have been watching a group of people called “lionfish exterminator corps” on ticktock and as sad as i am to see these fish killed, im happy that only the invasive ones are being speared (they are still one of my favorite fish)

I've always wanted to try spear fishing for lionfish in the Caribbean, I'm not into eating fish all that much but anytime I see someone cook fish and make it look good it makes me unbelievably hungry. 😭 Thank you Forrest for sharing your experience spear fishing them and reigniting my desire to help the oceans like I always wanted to!
