What a coincidence that you posted this episode. I bought some soft plastic helgamites today. I tried them a little it was hot. Didn't catch many. But that was before I watched this video. Going to try again on Saturday. I really enjoy your show.

Hey Richard, great video. I always enjoy creek fishing. I liked wading the Cahaba using a small Rapala or Rooster Tail. I most always caught fish. Those are my two favorite creek lures.

Ive caught nice smallies using a 3" hellgramite. I put a 1/10 oz sliding egg weight to main line. Then i tied a 7 inch leader with a size 1 baitholder hook. Then i put trophy bass by procure on hellgramite i casted near a pocket in a dock. Then a 3lb smallie crushed hellgramite it was awesome. Caught nice smallies in the summer. Since fall has hit, im using the same rig an catching small smallies. Hopefully catch 1 or 2 more nice smallies before i stop fishing til spring.

I don't know if it's just Me or what, But I feel that Fish out of a Creek tastes so much better than they do out of a Lake or Big River. I think it could be that the water pollution is not in small back woods Creeks. Or Maybe it's the Cold Water from backwoods creeks

Use a small section of a toothpick in those little baits that don’t stand up naturally. A real dynamite way to save a penny or 2 of if you can find the good stuff in stores
