YO keep these coming man. I aways wondered how often you get skunked/ don't get the fish you want. And all these low-key videos have been hella informative so far. As long as you're dropping knowledge and sharing nice views we'll still watch
Finally hooked up my first jacksmelt that had zero worms in it last week and cooked it up with a bit of Cavendar’s, cayenne, and butter. Hooooo boy are those fish tasty! Really hoping I can get on a few that have little to no worms in the near future. That oily fish cooks up real nice and would go great in tacos or over a salad or rice. 😋

Yeah, I keep them at most 30mins on the line when I fish piers or rocks. They are good to keep after they kick the bucket as crab bait.

If I had to use only one lure, it would be a black Rooster Tail. Steelhead, silvers, pinks, chums, searun cutthroat, rockfish, lings greenling, largemouth bass, crappie, bluegill all on the black Rooster Tail. It catches it all.

There was no fight in that Jack Smelt. I remember a small smelt bent the pole more than a bigger perch. But that was decades ago. Then again, it may be because you’re pointing the pole to the water. I used to point the pole to the sky.

Looking forward to some trips on your Zodiac. (To lazy to keep packing and unpacking my Sea Eagle). Trying to get back out for some Sturgeon. I checked with some experts and the fish finder was showing Sturgeon not taking our bait. Will have to go as soon as I get the Sea Eagle outfitted with my trolling motor. Highly motivated. (ZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzZZZZZZZZ). Oops. Tight Lines Youngen.

Hey Matt..this Tim from the east coast. I've been watching your vids for a couple of years now and they are very good..both content and picture. I'm diabetic so I try to fish as much as I can but work and weather sometimes get in the way. I'm on the Chesapeake bay and our ROCK FISH are called (strippers). I've seen you catch them before. But my question to you is, if it's no trouble to you and I'm willing to pay for it if you can send it to me. I want to taste the fish that you catch that the meat is blue but when you cook it it turns white and has that nice flakey meat.

Okay. I'll try one more time for a response back. I live in Humboldt. I fish from North to South and everywhere in between. On your 1600 mile run, you passed up some of the greatest unknown fishing spots and just ran to Crescent City. One that's just a stone's throw away from 101. And several that are in Humboldt. I gave you the County. I'm happy you don't post your spots.
