Mystery theater conjures up memories of a little boy laying in bed with his grandmother's hand-held radio listening to every door slam, every howling dog, every word said. Thank you for bringing these shows back and thank you grandma for the radio.

I can still remember the smell those transistor radios made when they were warming up. Mine had a leather case that it fitted into and, of course, an ear piece. Wonderful memories 😊

WCKY 1530 in Cincinatti. I DX'd from near Charlotte, NC in the late 70s in bed at night. I would get chills when the door creek, music theme plunge of the strings, all followed by Mr. EG Marshall's narration. Then either I'd fall asleep in act 1, or the signal would fade as the ionosphere would shift. I'd wake up toward the end, or when the next show was on. Great childhood memories!!

Pleasant memories of old, when we use to travel during the cooler hours of night from Southern California to Tucson AZ. Late night out on the desert highways were monotonous until RMT came on. It was entertaining and made the trip shorter. Thank one and all for a wonderful program.

We listened between home & No Ho, on the freeway drive hone in the evening on weekends. Southern California roads weren't quite as busy as they are now & us kids did not wear seatbelts in the car 😱

These wonderful episodes began on January 6th, 1974, my 10th birthday. I listened to them with my father and brother until they concluded when I was 18 years of age. Amazing memories. Thank you so much.

I never grew up with these shows being raised in the UK. I discovered them several years ago. I like the ones with commercials best of all, sometimes they’re more interesting than the actual story. Amazing how many companies aren’t around anymore and how prices have changed. An expat listening in Florida.

Wonderful memories of listening to RMT and EG Marshall as a young teen. The creaky door intro set the mood.

Just hearing the music, , creaking door, and E.G. Marshall’s voice brings back so many memories. Staying up late in a dark bedroom, lit only by a small nightlight, listening to Mystery Theater trying not to be scared….lol ☺️🫣👻❤

Really enjoyed this one, although I seem to remember hearing a similar tale where the man's dead relative started speaking to him through the butler, or something like that. Nighty night.
