I am a quick release/snapshot guy for the most part (take one-timers too), and I don't really like lowkicks. I honestly prefer this stick to most retail options in a lower flex than I could be using. The lower flex compensates for release speed, and the stick provides some natural power. It's been a winning combo for me.

I feel pretty much the same. Not exactly sure why people overlook this stick. Oh well, I guess it doesn’t really matter!

Another good review. The marketing definitely says that this stick isn't for the quick release/snapshot player.. But you guys are right a lower flex still releases quick and the stiff lower has other benefits like stick handling and passing. I really like the As4 graphic, maybe it helps sell some more.

Curious how you would rate the FT4 pro compared to the AS3?

I honestly can’t give you my personal opinion on this one as I haven’t logged enough hours on the FT4 pro. What I can tell you is the AS4 pro is superior in all ways to the AS3 pro and it seems most of the folks I know who own or try the FT4 pro and AS4 pro slightly favor the AS4 pro.

ive been using the SuperTacks AS2 (not pro) and its honestly been great. it feels much lighter and has better balance than it suggests and has been quite durable. i have more expensive sticks that feel heavier (to me) and havent lasted as long. so im very curious about the AS3. i just really hate the graphic.

Yes, I hear you about the looks of anything. That said, the looks are better in some ways than the AS2 ( subjectively of course) and it shouldn’t be a huge deal breaker unless you need a tie breaker between it and another stick.

Great review. I had the AS3 pro stick and I just didn't care for it...The Trigger 5 pro...Holy guacamole my friend...game changer. I may give the AS3 pro stick another go in the 75 flex (instead of the 85). Just wasn't enough feel for me I guess. I really want to try the FT4 pro stick though! Kinda best of both worlds.

Yes, I agree and the trigger 5. Fast release but not as much accuracy for me. I do think you touch on an important point about flex. I really think the As3 pro requires you to dial that in a bit more than a trigger.

İts an unrelated question but how would you rate the durability and stiffness of the first one piece supertacks skates compared to as1 and the rest ?

If you're referring to the 2016 Supertacks, I'd say the most durable pair is the AS3 Pro. There were always some durability issues with the 2016 Supertacks and even the AS1s. Regarding stiffness, they just keep getting stiffer...in a bad way. The AS3 Pros are too stiff all around. I found the original 2016 Supertacks to be my favorite stiffness. You really do need a little forward flex. That's my two cents.
