I own several sil tarps from Cooke Custom Sewing (CCS), and recently tried out their new "Ridgeline stuff sack" tarp bag for packing the tarp, easy set up and take down, and tarp stays clean without touching the ground and picking up debris when its wet. If the tarp touches the ground when its wet, it picks up pine and spruce needles, dirt, sticks and debris which can puncture the tarp and abrade the fabric. This tarp bag is perfect for my needs and its now part of my permanent kit. Web link to CCS www.cookecustom... and direct to the tarps and the ridgeline bag: www.shop.cookec...

Other gear shown: 50 ft Ridge line is 1/8 inch Amsteel rope in the red colour; guy lines are 2.2mm Zing-It cord. I like this dyneema cord because its does not absorb water, its light, and very strong. Guy lines are cut 20 ft long each. 20 ft gives me a good reach to reach out to get the angle right, and I carry extra coils in my cordage kit for making re-directs of cord pull when I don’t have a good angle to tie out to - that will be another video.
