I think the cd mech is the same. I had a sa-ak12 which looks identical to your sa-ak33 and i had opened it up and the mech looked the same.

i know this vid is 2yrs old but this is the only vid explaining this mechanicism. I have an sa ak27 and what’s happening is that spindle that those clear plastic rings that hold each cd isn’t holding them properly. Anytime i switch to a cd that isn’t disc 1, the top of the mechanism doesn’t grab the top clear disc properly, thus pulling that piece with the cd and then it just falls out inside the receiver. And it won’t pull out that cd from that disc because the plastic ring holding it just falls off. Any way to fix this?

I used ak 88 almost 20yrs but now it has got a problem. When i turn it on it says cd change to disc 1 but motor won't try to run. I checked everything is fine but no luck for last 2 yrs

The motor that drives the gears may be shot, or there's a power issue on whatever is used to power the motor. Its just my guess. Im not a professional in stuff like that so I cant give an 100% honest answer. Just ideas.

I really hate the cd mechanism I had alot of problems with my panasonic sa-ak27 The cd would always get stuck then one day it completely got stuck on the screen it wouldn't let me switch to aux or tape or tuner so I ended up totally disassembling and I never put it back together so it ended up getting tossed

Oh man that sucks! I remember my first stereo (when I was 13) was a panasonic... I dont even know what the model # was, but after getting it new, 20 mins later it turned off and never turned back on... NEW... and it did that... boy I sure was unlucky.
