I've got a pair of the 6.7 dvc subs. I'm crossing them for mid bass. According to CDT's customer service they're best for that roll. The TS parameters did come with them. CDT specializes in wideband drivers.

I have 690-sex. They are 2ohm. Hands down the best speakers I have ever owned. I’m getting the 6.5 2ohm if trucking ever bounces back.

I've been running these mids in my car for years I've got two sets they are the 2 ohm versions. I have them crossed over at 80hz at 24db with 200 watts to each one and they they play low and loud.

So, that being known. If subs play from 10-300hz. And moving the x-over point up to 200hz on these 6x9s. The 100hz overlap. Can anyone tell me if there is anything lost with lower frequencies?
@CarAudioEnthusiasts
4 ай бұрын
@@Dominancelogistics ok, subs wont play 300hz, theyll struggle to play 100hz. as far as by 9s, they can usually play from around 60-70hz and up pretty easy. SO im not sure what youre asking, BUT if I was running a sub and 6x9s, i would cross the sub at around 80hz, 24db roll off, then cross the 6x9s at 80hz, 24db roll on.

@@CarAudioEnthusiasts Roger that. Keeps both from going too far out to the frequencies they weren’t meant for? 10-80 subs 8-5000hz 6x9? 5000hz-15000hz? Mids 6.5 10000hz-20000hz? Tweeters?

These are awesome drivers! I have a pair in my Kickpanel currently and love them! I can play them down to 40hz loud without distortion. They are made in California I know the owner I’ve been dealing with the company for a while. He’s been super helpful in my quest for audio sq but also it could be me just being a dummy in beginning annoying the crap out of them with a ton of questions lol. But ya the gold es line comes with 10 year warranty too they are solid for anyone considering it do it !!!

And have no doubt about those wind bands midrange tweeters you are viewing! The es02 speakers are going to be super epic as well! I have the unity8.0 which is the same basically as the es02 but it plays even higher to the 33khz If you want frequency response graphs I can send them your way. They have good response all the way till 24k but I cut them off honestly around 12k and let the tweeter take over I can share my dsp settings with you as well it took me a while to figure out the quick sweet spot setup. And I run a 3 way setup basically Es06 mid bass Unity8 midrange Drt25 highs And in the rear deck I have the hd6x9 subwoofers which will knock your socks off lol they play down to 25hz and will shake my car

And they give more details on the drivers after purchase I noticed. If I still have them laying around I should have the ts parameters for the es06 woofers.if it’s really that important I can pull the parameters in a couple weeks just give me some time thou I will have to readjust my gear and get an audio interface or it might be possible to pull the parameters using my Dayton umm6 too check back with me lol

@@onesikm3 I bought one of those Dayton Ts sniffer. Unfortunately because of the trucking industry is so bad. I can’t stay home like I did when Trump was in office. I was excited to use it, but haven’t had the chance to. I have a Gately 6.5 resilient. 600rms. I wanted to show my kid how to install a system. We had plans to build a box to fit behind a bench seat in a 93 Nissan D21. Predecessor to the 95 hardbody. Planned on big 3 upgrade. Install of a small agm, isolator, and 1 of those good CAPS. That same company is makes the agm batteries. NFX OR EFX. 0/2 gauge running to behind to the agm. Then running 3 amps.

I just picked up some of their Mx-Designs MX-262P, which is their MX-6 6.5" woofer, their 2" Wide range Mid-tweeter Pods, and MX-1000SX crossover. I also picked up a pair of MX-6F 6.7" mid-woofers and a pair of the CDT WS-100i (MX-1i) I went with the CDT ones instead of the MX for the red stickers over the blue to match my interior scheme. I bought the extra set to see if I can get a bit lower mid bass up front with the MX-6F can be mounted in a ported enclosure to get down to 40 hz. I have 3D printers and mid design skills, I'm thinking about some kick pods but need to research if tuning something like that is realistic in a kick panel build or not. The car is brand new, I can't bring myself to cut up the interior, trying to get creative! The component set comes with their premo crossover that handles the imagining tweeters as a direct plug in/ 3-way system. I have the AD68AT DSP and I am not sure if I should use their crossovers as this seems like a combo made for these crossovers to shine, but defeats having a DSP at that point. I definitely would want to go with the DSP if I end up figuring out a way to get the 40hz. I need to get moving on the build, I have to get some things done before I get any further into the build, still at deadening stage. I need to get a tint sun visor put in before I can mount the imagining tweeters, just need to get to the shop. Good stuff once again, learning a lot on how to understand a bit more what all these specs are and what I should be looking for. I haven't looked, but if you haven't made one already. A video on learning what to look for on a spec sheet for the different build styles, SQ, SQL, SPL, etc.

ill see about another spec breakdown video, as for the passive or active debate, if you have the channels to spare then go active, if not use the crossovers. you can also use the crossovers and still DSP them seprate, this allows for time alignment, and individual EQ, and phase settings. as well as gain settings.

I have 6x9 in front just on the radio and it's incredible and I have the midtweetwr in the front dash no tweeter necessary but it works better if you do, in the rear door not connected I also have the es06 with the hd2, will be connecting with three amps from sony xm gs4 and one gs100, also I have the zapco hdsp v, they have been winning competition with cdt from 20 years ago, the next step up is dynaudio, that's how good cdt is, also sb acoustics are excellent for their price, also fountek, and peerless, a lot of people don't know so they go straight to car audio and pay ridiculous prices, the dsp has to be good, but almost all dsp are.pretty good these days, the next gem is the sony amps used in the sony set , which are the gs4 and gs100, what makes them excellent is that in bulk you can buy them at 130 dollars to 150 dollars, now my dsp zapco hdsp v ,is expensive , which I bought at the beginning of my journey, and the hifi mmatts 6150 amps and both got stolen from my car few years ago, not even installed, but we learn.
