Growing up in Michigan, Cedar Point was quite often a short summer vacation spot. The last time I was there was about 1984. There's SO much more there than there was back then. You guys are excited about Lake Erie, you REALLY need to come to Michigan and see the three BIG lakes! (Michigan, Huron and Superior) I love following your adventures, no matter where you go! 😊

Welcome to Ohio! Cedar Point was our playground growing up & we usually went several times a summer. The early sunrise, late sunset in the upper midwest in the summer is due to the sun's trip further north (due to the tilt of the earth of course). Same reason that northern Canada & Alaska have midnight sun in the summertime. In the winter we have very short days - late sunrise, early sunsets due to the sun being further south.

If you’re going to continue in the Great Lakes region for a little while, you should totally come over to Wisconsin Dells - about 45 minutes from where I live. It’s a fun place. Another place would be Lake Geneva, WI, and of course, going to Bayfield, WI and touring the Apostle Islands (you’ll get Lake Superior as a bonus). The Apostle Islands are incredible!!! One other place to visit is Door County, WI (you’ll get Lake Michigan as a bonus). Sister Bay in Door County is absolutely beautiful!
