I don't think I've ever seen a singing drummer. I'm sure there's been one, but for the life of me I can't think of any. It's certainly working here. Also that fucking riff. Hot damn.

Cedric was on Michael Portillo's programme on American railways when he visited Memphis. Cedric played the blues on his guitar. You can see where Elvis got his influences from!

Sorry, but without the Burnside name, nobody would care. There are young people out there creating great music, coast to coast. A lot better than this mediocrity. But nobody pays attention. My nephew is better than this. But he doesn't have any name. And he's not going to sell out and go on one of those moronic musical contest shows. Young people are creating great music. The problem is that we're not listening.

*Generic KZitem comments section insult* Dude's doing what he loves, enjoying it, and putting out some smooth shit. How about your nephew goes and "sells out" and plays some gigs and makes a record? Until then you can both go fuck a couch. Cedric is legit talented. He has the name, that's true, but he's making quality music. Get real.

Thos Robert Sorry but Cedric is playing the music his grandfather played and keeping it alive. Obviously this is not exactly the same as RL Burnside's stuff because Cedric has to have his own style. I don't think you understand the concept of hill music (or hill country blues). Hill music can be simple or it can be complicated, but the whole point of it is is to keep that steady riff with little chord changes. Cedric had said that in hill music, you could be just playing one riff for the whole song, sometimes there will be chord changes however you don't know when that chord change will come but ya'll gotta be prepared for when it does change. This shows hill music has a loose structure which creates uncertainty because you don't know when something different is gonna happen - that's the beauty of hill country blues it keeps you on your toes.

+Thos Robert: PLEASE try that as a 2-piece with your fucking nephew. OK, bring your whole family. Your WHOLE extended family. And friends. I mean, ALL of your fuckin' friends, virtual and all. Then you can come back and talk shit. See ya in a fucking century. Moron.
