Chekurjankino Horo (cheh-koor-YAHN-kee-noh hoh-ROH) is Janka’s Spicy Dance from the village of Brest, where it was learned by Yves Moreau in winter 1970 from Nasko Barmashev, choreographer-director of an amateur group in Lovech. With patterns chosen from several possibilities, Yves taught the dance at the Stockton Folk Dance Camp in 1970 and 1991 and at the 1970 S.F. Kolo Festival and 1972 Mendocino Folklore Camp.
