The dragons were pathetic. He was very clear about the company structure which wasn't complicated, he was very clear that he was offering them 5% of topco (Peter asking him whether he knows what a holding company is - he should have asked Theo and Deborah that question given how confused they declared themselves) and they were already planning to hive the IP rights into the topco. I particularly enjoyed when Peter said that they got him for 40% and assumed that everybody would automatically think that that was a great deal, this guy asked him to clarify what exactly he was offering, and Peter looked quite taken aback. Also, when Theo and Deborah declared themselves out because they thought this perfectly clear group structure was all too much for them, why are they so emotional, what is all the moral outrage about? I don't know what happened in this case, but I kept hoping that the MD would end up walking out of the negotiations and finding better investors.

Theres nothing new about the tools, the multifunction tool has been around for years, and unless they are good trade quality tools,(which I doubt by the look of them) it would be hard to compete with the several huge multinational companies who make power tools, including chinese brands. The only thing unique is the case/workbench thing but even that looks cheap and made of plastic, it wouldn't be used by tradesmen. Might be ok for the home hobbyist but any half serious hobbyest would have a drill press. Looks like a cheap gimmick to me. I doubt many people would buy the tools just to get that plastic box thing.

This is where it went sideways for this. I bumped into this video while researching a purchase on one of these workshop kits. Whoever eventually got this going, they went for sales numbers with low credibility retail for cheaply made stuff - mostly infomercial and TV auction sites in the USA instead of traditionally respected tool retailers like Home Depot, Lowes, Sears or working with an established outfit for battery compatibility such as Ryobi or Ridgid which utilizes tools from other companies but the designs are shifted in order to take a standardized battery and then go through major retail chains like Home Depot and Amazon.

This is a complete load of rubbish, you go on any building site in the UK/USA the cordless power tool market consists of Makita, DeWalt Milwaukee. Hilti are niche as they’re a big specialist so have a great business Model. Who’s going to buy this ? Professional tradesman no DIY market to small especially when you can pick up Makita, Hitachi & DeWalt kits for a few hundred. Festool are niche as they specialist in shop fitting, I don’t understand where this product fits into the market ? Like bringing a new brand of car out that will instantly compete with Audi, Mercedes, BMW. Not happening Where is the USP here ? A circular saw that converts into a table saw, that’s not enough to corner the DIY market. He will sell some but ultimately this would need millions pumping into the business for world wide exposure, would have to have a robust 5 year warranty scheme and be proven to put out perform the competitors

I just wonder if the quality and efficiency is just as good as a Dyson and not something shit from china.i bought some kitchen knives. They looked cool and all but they didn't cut. Hm let me Google this guy and see if he succeeded :)

I wish I was as smart as Christopher. Impressed! I am a non-religious spiritual artist but it attracts me to see such clever people who are not just good in their invention but also good in the business side of it all. I have my talents of art and design but have no idea about business. Christopher respects the value of his invention and the Dragons just see it as a money making venture. It would help if they realized that talent is priceless. I like the dragons, there is much to learn from them all but nothing is black and white they have their shades of grey. Christopher comes across also as very clear hearted/minded, that adds more value to his inventions. I feel, his inventions will always do well because they have good quality too. Of the little I have seen him here, it makes me believe that he is a perfectionist and would be able to deal with all his partners/shares etc., which the dragons believed was a chaotic idea. They forgot to read the man well- the reason he is doing all that is because he is capable of handling it all. Well done Christopher!

Very nice Christopher. Lovely colors and design, and it seems the functionality is wonderful too. It seems perfect for people who understand the need of the products. I can see more productive-creativity coming from you. You have my good wishes :) Seasons greetings, have a lovely festival season. Namaste

Wait so any offer he took technically wouldn't have been of "his company" as it was for the BVI company of which he owned nothing?
