You are so adorable April. We have been slow at work this week, so I have been binging your vids all week. I have brought fabrics, cut mat, rotary cutter and ruler, and all 12 of my 3 yard quilt books. I've cut 4 quilts they are labeled and bagged, so this weekend, virtual you and irl me are going to piece 4 quilts and hopefully get them ready to long arm next week. Love the end of your vids with the out takes. You crack me up. Trying to get 10 quilts done by the end of April for a charity quilt drive hosted by another youtuber for foster kids. You inspired me with all your 3 yard quilt videos. Thanks for all you do to entertain, teach, and inspire your fans. How do I buy you a cup of coffee? A quilty fan, Teri G

@@aprilscraftroom it gives me hope, that I won't always be sewing perfectly and to give myself a break in expecting it to be. I finished my 2nd quilt top today, and it looks pretty good, if I do say so. Pattern doesn't call for borders, but it is really small, so I am going to try doing a pieced piano 🎹 border. Jelly roll jam 2 from fat quarter shop. A while back, I had bought a jelly roll junior. While looking for it, found a packet of 5 fat quarters to match that I'd gotten on clearance. Score!

This must be a Donna Robertson pattern. At least it looks like one in one of my mom's books of hers. As a brand new quilter, I am not happy that I started with her patterns. They are SOOO hard for me to follow. I bought my first pattern from a different person and it's for a twin size and it is broken down so nicely in easy to follow step by step instructions. I just recently ordered some great patriotic fabrics so I can't wait to make a quilt with them. What do you do with all of your quilts? Do you sell them, gift them, hang them up?
@aprilscraftroom
3 жыл бұрын
This is a Donna Robertson pattern. I usually mess up the first one but second time is a charm for me. I am really loving the red, white and blue and it makes me want to do another in the patriotic theme. I have some flip flop fabric in red, white and blue that is adorable. I keep some, gift some and need to finish some to give to charity. As of yet I have not hung one up. Thank you for watching. :-) April

@@aprilscraftroom The second time comment was too funny! I have done two of hers and I'm sure my struggle is because I'm new. I'm the kind of person that needs step by step broken down until I get the hang of things. Her quilts are really pretty though. Instructions are just a challenge for me. I just got all five of my antique looking patriotic fabrics in and can't WAIT to start making a quilt with them. I'm going to give it to a friend I have in Texas that served in the Army so I hope he'll like it. Thank you for your reply! Loving your channel! A great one to binge! You are too adorable.
