Following my tradition of celebrating International Piano Day (#WorldPianoDay) by recording a lesser known piece, I'm delighted to have learned César Cui's wonderful Prelude, Op. 64 No. 9.
I was introduced to this little gem via the scores section of Pianist Magazine.
The view through my 'window' is of St Petersbourg (Catherine Palace) given Cui was a Russian composer (his French sounding name actually being because his father was a French soldier who settled in Russia).
