This map barely has any gameplay, almost being a walking simulator, but it makes up for that in its atmosphere and environmental storytelling. The mine feels like a real place, and you can see on the walls marks of many people across time. You see signs put up by Austrex, words scratched into the wall by the inmates, and posters and graffiti made by a recent explorer. They all give the strong statement that something is wrong.
I also like how your reward for exploring and finding all the crystal shards are the logs, you finally get answers to all of your questions if you make the effort to seek them out. But even then you still have questions, you don't fully know the motivations of Austrex, was it just a disregard for human life and a hunt for profit that made them kill the inmates, or was it something more? And why were they so adamant on using as much of the crystals as possible, wouldn't a hunt for profit make them want avoid wasting the crystals and not leave all that gold as well?
