Her voice is beyond great technique or high notes. Her tone, the texture of her voice, especially during those years with that slight rasp and incredibly wide open and resonant belts, warm and rich tone, vibrato, control of her dynamics, phrasing. That performance was out of this world and LIVE, no lipsyncs, no weird autotune or weird robotic overlays. JUST PRIME CELINE DION.

Now you've brought us some piece of rarity buddy! Never heard this cover, and I have to say : as always, Celine blows every other singer out of the water. Her interpretations are just masterful, her voice is so unique and flawless. She always sounds loud, clear, interesting and absolutely distinctive. There's no other voice like hers, and she makes me shiver every time. The level of details and subtlety in her voice leaves me speechless every time! But I wonder when this cover was recorded... 'cause what we're listening to here, sounds more like her voice a few years ago. Today (2021), she doesn't sound like this anymore, which is normal given her age and decades-long career.

Amazing! I think the parts where the resonance was too much is due to the quality of the recording equipment. On my end it sounded like a tape recorder or phone recording of some sort. It distorts her beautiful sound. But along with that, in a recording studio they have the technology to bring that down if needed. Which says a lot about the power of her vocals. Beautiful regardless!

I feel like her actual prime was way later than that, like in the early 2010s. Her ease in her belting was unparalleled then. I remember when I first watched Sinatra's version live at his retirement concert. His voice had mellowed but never lost its emotion. My favorite song he performed was Angel Eyes and when he gets to his last lyrics and slowly walks away it makes me wanna cry everytime. I'm 16 so ofc I was born post-sinatra but the things I'd do to hear his voice in person 😢. My favorite male singer always.
