I am very thankful to you and your team. I wish we had such conceptual lectures when we much needed them or when the right time was. I wish that you live long so we would be more benefited by you. I couldn't by satisfy ever in my life by having any cell's cycle lecture. Thank you so much

One thing at which i am stuck is that how could both the sister chromatids could show recombination if only one has undergone genetic material exchange
@rupakalchimmad7704
3 жыл бұрын
if u have a look at some diagrams such as the ones in Campbell and Truemans u ll find that both the sister chromatids do not show recombination. Only one does. Maybe mam just wanted to make it clear that the sister chromatids have the recombinant gene present on them.

I have a doubt mam. Why meiosis I is called as reductional and meiosis II as equational division? Because as far as i understood the concept, the splitting of centromere is taking pace in meiosis II not in meiosis I. Also during meiosis I the C value is 4C where as during meiosis II its 2C. Please help me with this. Thank you

priya gupta meiosis 1 is called reductional division because after meiosis 1 we get n no. of chromosome from 2n whereas in meiosis 2 we get n no. of chromosome from n . the concept is not related to centromere

Since you have taken an animal cell, then why are you relating plain of the division with plant parts. It would have been better if you would have taken a plant cell.
