Playing not so difficult but getting Intonation right is hard. Thank you so much for playing it and the detail to explain how!

You are so right. Intonation is the bad part in here! I hope you understood well my explanations and that you can apply them! Happy practicing!

I love you!!! Thanks a lot, it is very useful! I have been many years using my elbow to make the shifts and always I felt this as a huge work for my left hand. Im the person who use to believe that once you learnt a mistake it will take double efforts to learn the correct way, I hope this time I wouldn't need such an effort. Anyway, no pain no gain! Have a nice day and waiting for your next lesson. Big hug

Amazing!!! Love your videos! Please, when possible, play the Bukinik concert etudes. There's only videos of the 4° one, would love to hear how 1 to 3 sounds like. Keep it up please, it's very helpful! Obrigado!!

The most unique and fascinating vibrato I’ve ever seen is that of Bernard Greenhouse (Beaux Arts Trio) when he played in 5th position and higher. For the life of me I’ve never been able to work out how he did it. Something about circles(?). It was uniquely his.

I'm stuck with my vibrato, all these years has passed and I'm still not able to do it properly 😢 everything is better day by day (thanks to your videos actually) but the vibrato is a challenge that demotives me a lot... The reason could be that my fingers are too thin or something? 😅😢
@IliaLaporevcellist
Жыл бұрын
Oh, you are not alone. This is actually that takes a lot of time and it develops throughout the years. Don’t worry, it has nothing to do with your fingers. Vibrato is just a complicated issue. People are asking me for a while to make a vibrato tutorial. But how can I explain something that is so personal and that takes years of practice and personal development in 5-10 minutes? 😅 I’ll see what I can do about that, but cannot promise that my explanation/tips will resolve the problem.

@@IliaLaporevcellist Thank you for your kind words and your explanation about the issue, I was feeling really bad about it coming back to this exercise after a year and not being able to to do the vibrato again... But as you say, I have to be patient. Thank you for reminding me, you are the best teacher of youtube, really, your videos motivate me to practice and also are the reason I decided to continue in this cello journey regardless of my bad experiences with my old teachers. Now I consider you the best teacher that I've ever had and don't even know you in person😅 And I'm being serious. Thank you for everything.
