It all sounds exactly the same. Move one knob like 2 millimeters and there you have it. I’ve got a Princeton Reverb 12” with Celestion G65. I put a $280 Alnico Blue and also a baffle converter to install a Jensen p10r. They all sound so close that I defy anyone to tell.

Yeah, good point. Though I wouldn't say 'exactly' the same, but really close.

Nice guitar playing! On my speakers and to my untrained ears the Celestion is darker but clearer, while the Jensen distortion is quite pleasing

Interesting. I think I prefer the sound of the Jensen but not much in it. Good to hear you playing the guitar

@alexanderheppening what kind of cabinet is that? It sounds great. Are there ports in the speaker baffle? Thanks

Hey, sorry mate for the late response. This cabinet is selfmade. It sounds much better than the cabinet that is coming with the Vox Superbeetle. Do you mean the screws that can be seen in the front?

Open back, larger cab and a real head would help.

Open back sounds nice, but too loud for that location. But can be opened easily. Other than that I really like how it sounds.

@@alexanderheppening Just open it up and lower the volume. I just built a cab- small space powered by a 5w tube amp. Sounds great. In fact, I run two in stereo 10 feet apart. Epic tone- ping pong delay AND I use my 7:1 killer home theatre with sub to run backing tracks. Studio quality...if they are lucky to sound this great.

Jensen has more twang that is perfect for vintage sound.
