I think the Lettermen were the first group to record this song? In Vietnam 1967-68 when a guy in my barracks played this on his tape recorder, I would always get a lump in my throat with thoughts of returning home. The first time I saw this show on video, this song returned my memories of 55+ years ago. Chloe's face at the end tells it all.

Yes, the children were good, but asking them to tour would be too much. This song sounded just plain outstanding last week in Kansas City with just the Aontas choir singing with Chloe, Lisa L., and Susan. It brought a lot of people to tears and up out of their seats for a standing ovation.

I hope one day David will get all the current & former members of Celtic Woman together for a concert. That would be awesome! Speaking of former members, I get a newsletter from Orla Fallon's web site & I just learned she's pregnant!!! Congrats Orla!!!

@dragondreamer1998 I assume u mean Mairead Nesbitt... No she isn't mute but except for a few yips and yelps while she plays the only time she says something in a DVD is at the end of their Christmas DVD song 'Let It Snow'. I think anything she needs to say her violin says it for her...

@gaeilge02 Too bad the children aren't touring with CW. They are really good.

Mairead Nesbitt does interviews (do a youtube search and you will find her speaking). I do not think she sings. I have never heard her sing. I have heard her speak during concert breaks between songs.
