To be successful in markets, traders should understand the crossover between asset classes & liquidity flow. Karen Cosmann focuses on Multi-asset trading, a single strategy to manage risk, profit, and the code or the actual decision-making across multi-asset classes. Her skills set is top notch.

41:00 Guest gives a very nuanced and heartfelt answer to the hosts question about living in "the best of all possible worlds". He says you have to find your own best relationship to living in a dystopia (my word) and that "You are going to be subject to power." Take it from the man. The current BTC story is global reserve currency; it would be especially useful for people who don't have access to a stable home currency. And I see the risk to the dollar. What resources does the government have to control or eliminate bitcoin?

The obvious limit of all governments is they are unable to make any long-term AND unpopular decision. But what if the only solution for some issue is long-term and unpolular? This seems to be the case with all the issues getting worse over decades. I am still waiting for strong politicians like W. Churchill who openly promise only "blood and tears" or true leaders. I see these in business but not in politics anymore - so far there are only people I would describe as leisure-class soft opportunists. I don't know about other but I don't like doing things because they are easy - but because they are hard (to quote Mr. Kennedy). Americans had that ideal as well.

Not a huge fan of this guest. He speaks vaguely and slowly and with a tone of grandiose self importance kind of like the way Snowden talks when he gives speeches. I think his comment about not taking Powell literally is obvious but doesn't negate the need for analysis of his intentions. I think his comments about Powell using language to manipulate is a partial truth but also partly projection of his own behavior. Additionally, after hearing his comments on Bitcoin, it appears clear he has never studied Bitcoin deeply. Under detailed questioning I think he would fall apart. It appears his primary motivation is to gather clients for his business.

Disagree with a lot of what he’s saying. I think he’s stuck in a fiat mindset and doesn’t understand debasement. I do agree with him that the US will not go quietly into the night once their hegemony is challenged by BTC, but that could be decades away.

The real crises this fellow anticipates are actually in process and will not abate. His view of human competition versus cooperation is skewed. Our current expansionist monetary system will come to be recognized as the fundamental source of our maladapted civilization and sound money support will be a prerequisite to political leadership. An excellent book in this regard is Jem Bendell's, Breaking Together: a freedom-lovers response to collapse.

Just starting. Guest has a very interesting perspective on this stuff. I'm interested in that Yellen and Powell's biggest challenges are managing the fiscal side; historically governments must inflate their way out of our situation because it's the only politically and societally acceptable option. I'm from America and live in Central America now. What is going on seems dystopian to me (AI?) and the ability of leaders to lead compromised, we have great privilege with little responsibility, is the 'growth' model ever viable? Inflation is horrible for rich people and sort of so-so for poor people, no? (I don't mean hyper inflation) I remember the 70's as prosperous although with lots of financial distress. But I base my opinion on how seriously rich people take it; they are all terrified of it. And dollar inflation is surely a different beast (Global in scope) than any other currency? *34:20 really good lead in and question from the host about how the reality of our 'economy' feels so different from the reported numbers market participant focus on; the employment numbers might be great but all those jobs are subsistence and soul crushing; can the fed cut rates during an election cycle? What about the risk of civil disorder through and after the election; seems the stakes are high for these people and isn't that more concerning, a greater risk?

Not all, but if you look at where we are today, monetary policy is the number one problem everyone is facing, I dare you to find one country where governments are not overreaching their power with central bank fiscal policy. The fiat system is literally milking all of the working middle class and lower class in favor of asset holders.
