Just came across this video while browsing YT. Loved the history behind this and since I was adopted back in the early 1950s it kinda touched home, even though I found my birth family, but still don't think I was told the truth. Eventually my birth family and I parted ways since all my birth mother would say is, " that family that adopted you and your brother don't really care about you..." That didn't set well. After meeting my birth family, I feel very Lucky to have been adopted by the best parents a kid could have. My brother, who is actually my half brother, turns out our father's were brothers, long story.... But Thank You for this Gem. 🙂

Good story...glad everything eventually worked out. A lot of adults who grew up as adopted children relate to this video.

A very sad story, but there must have been hundreds of girls and children who were saved from a miserable life. I am proud that Arlington and The Nazarenes were so welcoming and caring, even a long while ago. Giving these children a name and a marker was a great blessing.

I live in the Panhandle of Florida. I was visiting a cemetery here and its not being well cared for. I found a section with infants and young children. I started to try and clean around them but getting older and lots of the weeds had stickers. I could not do it by myself. Then hurricane Michael came and so little markers that showed were a grave was among them is forever lost.

Beautiful narration. It's a shame that some churches seemed ignorant to the teaching of the very Bible they read. The Upchurch's are surely in heaven. It's wonderful a book was written about this, these children need to be remembered, no matter who they were.

I'm hoping this is the case. (Nevermind, apparently they fixed this issue. Guess they really are critics :( ) Like the video. Now if you hit the like button a second time, it removes it from the liked videos playlist. However, doing so, automatically turns the dislike button blue. I recommend hitting the 3 dots, and then clicking "remove from liked videos". Prevents the blue dislike.

We always just called this what is was - a home for unwed mothers. It is saddest that most of the babies weren't given names - just numbers. Last time I went I was glad to see a protective fence at least.

Thanks....we're amateur videographers, so it would be helpful if you could cite an example or two...are you talking about using larger picture in picture examples, or having them up for longer, or both?

@@owencarter3443 You actually showed very little of the cemetery. You mostly showed your wife talking. If you had taken the time to honor the actual graves, it would have been much better. People came to see the cemetery - not shots of UTA or your wife.
