So the balancing...
In this video I explain why not using the rule of 1/3, ie to perfectly balancing all your planes at 1/3 of the average chord 👎 👎👎
In many cases, at 1/3 your are aft CG limits, almost not centered at all.
You better have to center your planes à 1/4 of the average middle wing chord. Like this, you don't take any risk ! Your plane will be stable and you'll have a pleasent flight. At worst, if you see that you have to trim it too much at the elevator, you'll have to take off some weight and then you backward slightly the battery if possible.
For gas aeroplanes : the balance CG must be done with an empty tank.
Be carefull, there is a forward CG limit on this aircraft , then the aircraft will be too heavy and not controllable.
If it's your maiden flight and if don't you have any information about the balancing CG (be carefull too with instructions for use, some of them give wrong balancing CG values), better take 1/4 of the middle chord.
Stable rc aircraft = slightly in the forward CG range = easier to fly
For an aerobatic plane, obviously it’s different...the goal is handling.
See you soon my friends,
