Overall, a pretty good video showing the basics of using a jig. It would be helpful for those who want to replicate doing this to see what your project origin is set to i.e. absolute coordinates. You can also move the rectangle to a Tool Layer so it can still be used for framing without being output.

THANK YOU SIR! I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer and a lot of using my new laser is coming along at a snails pace. You solved a huge question I have been worried about-in a way that I could easily understand. Again, THANK YOU!!! Hoping to see more of your videos to help me along!

This is one of the better videos on using these techniques to center an object. One thing that might work to ensure that your template is moved to the same spot every time might be to use lower power output Ie let’s say you cut the card board out. Finished your job you saved the card board and latter you want to replicate the job. Place the cars board back on the honeycomb use your saved cutout path turn the laser power down as low as you can get it, set up 3 passes you will then move the cardboard into position using the lower power output. 😁🛫

Great idea. I'm doing a bunch of coasters and I'm gonna try it. I'm thinking maybe cut like 6 holes to make several at a time.

I got you! Up top to the left of the font options you'll see a little box that probably says mm. Click it and it will change to in.
