I was at a local armed forces day recently and a local recovery firm (Hough Green) had a very tidy Foden 6x6 on display. They're bloody huge. They're even bigger than they look on video. I'm 6'4" and I felt like a dwarf stood next to it. Worst thing is now I want one myself.

Was on both Fearless and Intrepid as a Royal Marine, they were the amphibious assault ships that the BARVs were built for, used to push beached landing craft.
That has turned out absolutely outstanding restorztion on the BARV, you are all to be congratulated on your very hard work, when I ever get to the UK again, I will come and give it a polish, best regards to you all from a Kiwi living in Australia 👍👍👍👍

The sounds in particular take me back to the time I spent at the Local Repair Section (18 Comd Wksp REME) at Bovington - where I got my tank driving ticket. (Only used it once after i left Bovington, some 8 years later when I was with 2 Yorks where I drove a Royal Yeomanry Sultan - just to prove I could do it!) and my time with 2SG LAD in Munster. (Swing that lantern!!!)

The BARV looks to be in excellent condition, a rare armoured vehicle with only (as you say) 3 of em left in the world! It Aint Whatcha Do But The Way Thatcha Do It....But with the Mighty Foden you've probably found the BARV to be redundant! Mighty Foden is capable of doing what BARV can do and do it better.

Hi, first time I have noticed you have a Mk 13 Centurion which appears to have the long range fuel tank fitted at the rear.. This is the type of tank I served on many years ago. I want to build the Tamiya 1/16 scale Mk 3 Centurion and modify it to a Mk 13 - the main mods being the addition of the rear fuel tank, the change to the 105mm gun and the position of the .50mm ranging gun in the mantlet. There are very few pictures of these and of them very little detail showing. Would it be possible for you to send me some stills photos of these particular areas? Many thanks. Adrian

Can I suggest that you spread a tarpaulin over the turret of the tanks that you store outside, particularly the finished ones. Such a shame to let rain get into the turret and spoil your hard work.

Tarpaulins make them sweat and rub the pain off, better left without for a week. But noting beats a building. We are currently in the process of building more storage barns
