Love the videos taken from small jets. I tried to get my son to do more of them when he was flying Falcon 10's, at least I got a ride with him in the Falcon from Sanford FL to Pompano Beach. Didn't take long and we only got up to 17000. When I followed them on FlightAware they usually flew around FL 380 from South Florida to New York etc. The flight in the Caravan was more fun even though it was lower and slower, I got to fly it and we made it from Wichita to Tampa in 5.2 hours. Not bad for a big old Amphibian.

I've got one hour in a Falcon 10. It was as SIC on a maintenance flight but I thought it was a very cool jet. Would have enjoyed more time in it.

Captian, how many GB's of storage do you use to record all your video data. I'm thinking of recording some of the surgeries that happen at my clinic using my Note 4, so was wondering. And also which video editing software do you use. TIA..:)

Hi Mathew. I have a one terabyte drive on my computer where I store completed videos. I also have a 3 terabyte external drive where I store clips for future videos. After I complete a video I delete all the original clips and that helps free up a lot of space on the drives. I use PowerDirector 14 for editing.

Captain: After touchdown, why does it appear that you're pulling back on the yoke....back and forth?
@captmoonbeam
9 жыл бұрын
+John L Hi John I was in the right seat on this flight so the other guys is flying. He's holding the nose off the ground but as the aircraft slows and there is less airflow over the horizontal stabilizer it requires changing the required back pressure on the yoke to hold the nose off. it's a little bit of a balancing act.

Another question, If that airplane is single pilot certified, why you fly with a copilot or in this case you were the copilot i guess?
@captmoonbeam
9 жыл бұрын
+Evilec Paz Both of us are typed and can act as PIC. It's not uncommon for passengers to request two pilots even though it's a single pilot airplane. On this trip the two of us were flying to Florida for training. He flew us down and I flew us back.

captmoonbeam Hello again captain one more question how much does the type rating for the mustang cost? any idea? Thanks again i really enjoy your videos.!
@captmoonbeam
9 жыл бұрын
I did my training in the aircraft and did the type ride with an examiner. I can only guess since I wasn't paying for it. With the cost of the aircraft, instructor and examiner i would guess $7,000 to $8,000.

***** Over all it's a pretty good system. It's hard not to like it. But, if I had to pick one thing it's that the all the controls for the air conditioning are now accessed through the GTU's. If you're not already on the temperature page you've got to flip through a couple of pages to get to what you want. Takes a little longer so I don't see that as an improvement.
