The Cetina Folk Group in Vama (Bucovina) offers us a bunch of new New Year's customs and traditions in a show on the festival "Winter Holidays in Bucovina" scene, held on December 27, 2017 in Câmpulung Moldovenesc. The show begins with the traditional "Plugusor", accompanied by "buhai" (bull) and bells, played by many waits, to the final with humorous accents. The "Frumosii" (handsome men) or "The Militaries" dance, a six-boy group dancing vigorously on very rhythmic music. Their military suit, ornamented with strips, fringes, epaulettes, stripes, decorations, and especially the caps and helmets, parodied the attire of the Austrian officers (Bucovina was under the Habsburg rule during 1775-1918). From this point of view, the Bucovinians "Frumosii" (military) are unique, but they have correspondents in the rest of Moldova where they appear as differently military, ”arnauti”, outlaws, etc. Then follows Capra (The Goat), a dance performed here by 3 "goats" and one "shepherd", then the dance of the Bear, played by three "bears" and a "bear leader". Then on the stage is the group of "Mosnegi" (The Old Men) made up of 5 masks, in a representation of great value, by suits, attitude, gesticular, but especially by the elaborate dance and moments of virtuosity, despite the "old age of the old men". At the end of the performance, "Hora” (Romanian round dance) of the village gathers all in a traditional dance.
