When Lukas Klinge was born, he weighed less than 2 pounds. It was the start of a long road for him and his mom, Julia.
Among his many challenges in his early life, Lukas would need the assistance of a trach in order to receive the full complement of oxygen he needed. For four-plus years, Lukas was a participant in MCFI Children's Services and Pediatric Skilled Nursing Program. Through those years, Lukas received the necessary care and therapy to help his development.
In October 2022, at nearly 5 years old, Lukas walked out of CFI without a trach.
Lukas has graduated and is onto the next step of living a more independent life.
Check out his amazing story and a message of gratitude from his mom.
