英語圏に住んでいます。この動画の内容には関係ないかもしれませんが・・・。例えば「pick up」 や「see off」「throw away」みたいな熟語、無数にありますよね。それでしょっちゅうわからないのが、例えば「誰かを迎えに行く」の時の場合、「pick him up」なのか「pick up him」なのか・・・。なんとなく、ネイティブの人はどちらも言っているような気がしないでもなく・・。かといって、例えば「see off」は必ず「see him off」で「see off him」は聞かないような気もしますし、今、具体的な例が思い浮かびませんが、常にこの問題で悩んでいます(笑)。間違っても通じなくはないですが、なんだかいつになってもスッキリしません。「put the coat on」「put on the coat」「put off your shoes」「put your shoes off」どれも聞く気がします。でも、「throw it away」は「throw away it」とは言わない気がします。こういうのは、なにかこう、ちゃんとした法則があるんですか?それとも、ひとつひとつ覚えるしかないんですか?
To tell the truth, I didn’t know any phrases you taught us this time and I got to know how easily I’ve lived in my Comfort Zone concerning to English😅 I’ll try to enjoy these new phrases in my English life😅PS Your story should be much more appreciated than the professional dramas, I think 😊 Thank you, anyway 🙏

I'm so glad you learned something new!🍀 Very good example of "comfort zone"!
I'm studying Korean for a long time. Japanese and Korean grammar and pronunciation are really similar. So watching Korean dramas and listening to songs be a good example of leaving my comfort zone. l would be happy if KZitemr could reply to my comment. That's why l can't stop leaning language 😊

Regarding "leaving a person's comfort zone," I must admit that I have just learned about it for the first time. I am grateful for your video on this topic.
The video Nick speaking was a blink of an eye for me.

I watched a KZitem video that a guy moved to the U.S. Living in the U.S is leaving his comfort zone. His told us some anecdotes that were faux pas like asking age was red flag. It was rare for him to become a buzz because things were expensive. His managing to make ends meet was an emotional roller coaster. Every time I watched his video, I hope his life become in virtuous cycle.

解説してほしいです! wouldを使った表現が未だに掴みきれていないときがあります 映画LOSTのs1のep12で出てくる表現で The airline wouldn't let him bring it on the plane というのがありますが The airline didn't let him bring it on the plane とのニュアンスの違いを知りたいです

I had a buzz after I cut my hair. I asked my friend if she liked my new hair. She told me she didn't like it so much. What a buzzkill. Though,Trying a new hair was a good example of leaving my confort zone. When I changed my hairstyle,I wanted to try a new fashion. I threw away my old clothes,I cleaned up my closet. That was a virtuous sycle.

Her asking や Him saying は、どうしてSheやHeではないのか、の解説動画もおつくり頂けたら有難いです🥹🙏 時々目にして、ここでも出てきたのだけど、意味自体はわかっても文法的にどういうことなのだろうとずっと思っているんです… 今日も役に立つ動画をどうもありがとうございました!!

Her asking や Him sayingのHerとHimは文法用語では「意味上の主語」です。 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 1)《文法解説》「意味上の主語」 準動詞(①不定詞、②分詞、③動名詞)の動作主を【目的格】(me/him/herなど)や【所有格】(my/his/herなど)であらわします。 ① (for)+目的格+【不定詞】 for me to do「私が~する…」、me to do「私が~する…」
「It's no wonder 」だと「文」ですけど、 「I wonder」のあとは必ずWH名詞節ですね😉👍

@@ニック式英会話 日本の学校の英語の授業では、疑問詞のない疑問文に I wonderを付ける場合は "I wonder if節"(例:I wonder if he is still alive.)、疑問詞のある疑問文に I wonder を付ける場合は "I wonder WH節"(例: I wonder where he has gone.)と教わります。
