After several trips to Paris (from Toronto) I was in Paris with hubby in summer 2012 for 9 days. Since we had the luxury of time and I had seen many of the usual Paris sites we took the Metro to see this wonderful place. It was very empty / hardly any tourists which made the experience even better. It's amazing. Thank you for sharing.

Exactly! This château is super pleasant to visit, largely due to the fact that you are not rushed and there is so much to discover. Glad you guys enjoyed it.

Hi, I walked up to the top of the Donjon last June. I had wanted to go up for years. There is an organised tour but I kept missing out on the dates. Eventually I got to go up. The tour was in French so I just muddled through. I am travelling from Australia, so only had a limited window.

Salut! We saw one in August last year, but couldn’t make it. When you go up, you should be passing by 2 more floors. Do they stop by them or just take you directly to the roof?

Bonjour, yes they stop at every floor so you can catch your breath. All the same a lady had a bit of an episode and had to lie down at the top. I've been up almost all the buildings you can climb. I was on a mission with this one :).

In this case we have to go back, we want to climb up that dungeon. We totally get you about going up buildings and monuments, we try to do that as much as we can, especially with cathedrals, although it could be a hit or miss. Cathedrals are usually closed for climbing in many cities. BTW, if you ever have a chance to visit Rouen, the clock tower of le Gros-Horloge is a MUST! The views from there are one of a kind, simply breathtaking.

@@AntonandSinan Thanks I have been to Rouen but missed that. I've got la Tour Jean sans Peur down for my next trip to Paris and that is it i think for the collection. I went up Notre Dame the day before the fire hit.

@@HelenGill2222 that’s an interesting place to visit, we haven’t been there yet, but been planning to several times 🙈😂 as for Notre Dame, Anton has been up on the tower but earlier. You caught it at such a crazy moment huh! We have to go back there once it reopens. They are promising Dec 2024!

Salut again, Anton & Sinan! I'm here again of course watching and enjoying. What a fantastic Chateau/ not the typical chateau vibe comparing to other chateau that we visit virtually with you/ it is clear it was used for defense. I am loving it. So....magestic somehow. And again the stones, the colours and I am specifically always drawn to the ceilings of those historical places. The ornaments, the attention to detail and those figures of stone here and there. Very beutiful indeed. The paintings of that guy- Monsieur Boulon? or however the correct name is,it would be nice perhaps to be gently renovated so they don't fade away with time even more. And btw,why he was imprisoned? The 2 floors that are not open to public, thats the place where the records are kept or what? What a contrast of colours and light and feeling between the dark and heavy, beautiful in its own way with the last part with the fantastic stained glass. Airy, heavenly, light and peaceful. I also always love the sound of the bells. So amazing. Cooper depth and harmony... I can't skip the fact how I like the music that you apparently choose carefully, corresponding perfectly to the places you are bringing us. It makes the experience even more superior. Music always had its place in the French history and culture,as you often mention in your videos. So yeah....great job guys. And thank you again! I'm just loving going around with you 🤍👍💫 Be well and I can't wait to see what's coming next 😊

Thank you so much for your comment! We are not sure about the top two floors, perhaps they are not visitable because they need to polish the renovations? No idea 🤷🏻♂️ Anton particularly appreciates the bells on any church, so we try to include them whenever we have a chance to record any. Music is definitely chosen for each episode to fit the location. Thank you so much again 😊

Anton and Sinan... Just to say I have enjoyed watching your videos ever since the early days... And as we are in Paris at the end of April ( been there many times over the years), you have inspired us to go and see château Vicennes... 😁... Well done!! Love your sneak a peaks..... A suggestion... How about place de voges and the marais???.
