Glad you had that hard hat on Pete. That one tree looked like it came pretty close to you. That’s a lot of fresh cut green stuff to set on fire. Did it take off?

No apple trees this year ill hopefully get a few next year if I can keep the sheep away from the trees! 🙃

I hear you William, but don't worry it wasn't destruction. I was coppicing the hedge. The roots are still in the ground. They will die back, but this will feed the soil. The result is that the trees/ hedge will grow back stronger, providing habitat for small animals. I'm regenerating the area. This winter I'm going to try my hand at the century's old method of hedge lying along my boundary. Do you.know this.method?
