Another great video Jason, I love the Challenger brand and all models look great in Challenger Gold, here in England we don't get the 965 series only the 765/865 twin tracked models. The 1038 etc come badged as Fendt and arrive in Fendt Green.

The MT900s are some what limited here. The majority were sold for earth moving work on scraper pans. England was ahead of the U.S. on the retirement of Challenger. From 2002-2019 Challenger offered wheeled tractors, tracked tractors, combines and hay tools. In 2020 wheeled tractors ended and in 2021 tracked tractors were custom order only. Fendt began replacing Challenger tracked models in 2020. The wheeled MT600E (Massey 8700) and MT900E were just retired. The Challenger 1000s were phased out for Fendt 1000s in 2021.

I saw one of these at the southeastern ag expo in Tifton Ga a few years ago and they are massive machines. That guy has one opener wasting a lot of gas. Hope he stopped and fixed it. That is some nasty stuff. A lot safer than it used to be but very dangerous just the same. I hope you were upwind...That turbo till is not the easiest plow to pull at that width but the tractor just plays with it. Got the ballast just right too. No power hopping. Don't think I would want to pay this guys fuel bill. Lol...

It was great getting to see the 4WD's since there's not a lot on YT covering them in the field, and we sure don't see them around here. Interesting that they went with a V-12 to put out the same HP others are getting with the big in line six cylinder engines. Has AGCO now dropped these big tractors from their line since 2020?

Жыл бұрын
It is a shame the MT900 was retired. I agree the MT900 would make an awesome Massey Ferguson 9700S series. Most Massey dealers are Versatile dealers to have a 4wd and a red MT900 would keep it all Massey.
@BRPFan
Жыл бұрын
@@bigtractorpower I fully agree with you Jason it would make a real nice addition to the Massey lineup! Thing is Versatile’s sales keep dropping and after what Russia did to the Ukraine no one what’s to support Versatile and I sure don’t blame them! I saw a article where it said that Versatile was going to move production of Versatile to Russia. Not sure it it’s 100% correct but it would not surprise me! They built a real nice tractor plant in Russia a number of years ago and are producing the older style Versatiles there. It would be sad if it did get moved as it’s the only tractor plant in Canada. Been on many plant tours as I live an hour away. There used to be tons of Versatile 4 WD tractors around that we sold at the dealership, sadly not anymore! AGCO was thinking of buying Versatile but these Russians bought it first, really to bad! I will message you some pics of the awesome tractor plant in Russia.

Glad to see a Challenger 900 series. Hope they have Fendt 4x4 on Rubber in the Future. You dont need a Massy 4x4 when you have Fendt on Tracks. The Massey Guys need to Move on & let it go. AGCO Needs 1 Brand not 4. They did away with the Orange & Silver 4x4s. The Massey guys can go with a Versatile if they have to have a Red tractor, Or They can order a Big Bud & have Ron Harmon paint it Red .

It depends on soil conditions and other uses. This big tractor not only runs this implement. It runs a 60ft anhydrous bar, a scraper pan for land leveling and 18 inch deep tillage in the fall.
